Statement of Teaching Philosophy
As an educator, I embrace a pedagogy where lesson designs have students learn through trial-and-error, problem-solving, and developing multiple solutions. I employ a guided practice approach where I will do an intervention, and then we will do it together; then, the student performs the task without assistance unless needed. In clinical, I favor lessons in which students get hands-on experience since I believe students learn best when actively engaged in their learning. I also focus on the needs of my students by trying different teaching modalities to concentrate on each student’s learning style when delivering challenging content.
